Cory Chaney

Cory Chaney is an experienced accounting and finance professional with a demonstrated history of working in the home building and land development industry, skilled in contract management, cash flow forecasting, auditing, accounting, finance, and financial analysis. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) focused in Corporate Finance from Walden University. Cory has over 10 years of progressive experience, most recently in the construction industry and prior to that in mid-size regional public accounting firms. He has had the full spectrum of Controller and Head of Finance responsibilities including annual business plan and quarterly forecast preparation, month-end journal entries, P&L management, budgeting, financial and trend analysis, and SOX compliance.

In home building and land development he has overseen accounting and cost management for all development projects, prepared and presented financial statements for joint venture projects, managed the sales contract and closing process, and been responsible for all budgeting and forecasting along with ad-hoc reporting and analysis. He managed numerous accounting team members in his most recent position as Head of Finance with Century Communities.
