At our core, we’re a group of people who have been selected from various paths, working together to pave a new direction in an incredibly challenging and rewarding industry. Magna Search Group provides some of the world’s biggest companies, as well as companies you have never heard of, with professional recruitment services to fit their hiring needs.

Our Ask

Our team is seeking an individual who is willing to break what is unbroken, in order to constantly improve the prehistoric methods of hiring exceptional talent. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial in nature, a thought partner to any business, and one that strives for various improvement opportunities. As a Director of Sales for our team, not only will you be spearheading process improvements and working tremendously hard to achieve your targets, but you will be motivating and inspiring others to do the same.

This is a role that should resonate with someone who aspires to create positive change, develop tight-knit relationships with the team, and improve processes in the day-to-day sales operation. You will be provided with the foundation, but tasked to build, manage, and operate the team and the process from ‘order to placement’. Magna Search Group only works on permanent roles across North America, and numerous companies depend on us to solve their complex staffing problems.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the entire sales and account management operation from ‘order to placement’. This includes our internal teams, general process, as well as quality assurance.
  • First and foremost, you will spearhead our Program and Project Management Dashboard that directs and guides our project work streams. You will be responsible for ensuring the entire operation is in lockstep by estimating workloads, schedules, and resource requirements. You’ll analyze our metrics and our data, and challenge our way of thinking in order to execute on client expectations.
  • You will work closely with the CEO in order to identify gaps and opportunities, nurture and mentor talent, build succession and career paths, and enhance the strategic capabilities of the team and business.
  • Responsible for designing, implementing and facilitating development programs to increase engagement, productivity and profitability.
  • You will be tasked with involvement in all steps of the recruitment process in order to learn Magna’s systems and functions. With that knowledge, you will contribute to various areas such as account resolutions, candidate ‘dialogue/presentation’, negotiations, as well as BD/Sales/Account Management training.
  • Formulation and implementation of cost effective and efficient practices and innovative solutions to the recruitment business development process.
  • Training and coaching of Search Consultants and Sales teams. This new hire will assist the CEO in growing and adding to the team an additional 25+ employees in the next 12-24 months.
You will engage with our business development team and help build up our internal talent pool to ensure succession plans are in place, and skill sets are being appropriately leveraged at all times.
  • You will help hire, train, motivate, recruit, and enhance our onboarding and training programs.
  • You will assist our team in establishing and maintain relationships with clients, hiring managers, and key decision makers.
  • You will continually look for elimination of ‘waste’ opportunities within our sales and recruitment process in order to streamline projects, increase turnaround time on BD functions, shorten placement cycles, and ultimately improve process.
  • Conduct all activities with the highest degree of professionalism and with a positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Have proven experience working as a PLAYER/COACH – You can train reps to be #1 and can make difficult decisions when required to do so.
  • Post secondary education in Business Administration (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record in coaching and training sales professionals within a recruitment related environment OR a consulting environment (ex. Metrics implementations, role-playing, script design, client discovery briefs, template creation, optimizing messaging, and holding representatives accountable).
  • OUTSTANDING communication skills. This includes a mix of verbal as well as written dialogue to facilitate professional and powerful messaging both internally, and externally to our partners.
  • Positive and competitive energy with a sense of urgency which flows through to show the team a hungry and tenacious attitude. Must be able to show through example an entrepreneur who is willing to fail forward.
  • Aligned with our values of Passion, Respect, Responsiveness, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence.
  • Experience as a Program/Project Manager, Sales Manager, or Recruitment Manager (with Recruitment/agency experience highly regarded).
  • Collaborative attitude that strives to not only improve process, but also to allow others the runway to improve in tandem with you. Everyone at Magna works together and collaborates in order to complete any given project.
  • A passion for business that allows you to speak at all altitudes and tailor a message based on audience.
  • A collaborative mentality that allows you to leverage the team at all times, and provide assistance where and when required without direction. Must be able to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
  • Experience driving and taking OWNERSHIP of new programs and initiatives.
